Should I paint 1 wall of my classic cream bedroom a different colour? Accessories are aubergine/purple? I have a small bedroom, 10 foot sq and have just painted it Homebase's Classic Cream. I'm now wondering if I should paint the main wall where my bedhead is a different colour, dusky pink maybe?? My accessories will be aubergine/purple. Advise for bedding and accessories for my soon to be bedroom? I am 14 years old and want to move into my guestbedroom that has fake, white-wash wood floors and lavender walls. I don't plan on changing any of that because I like the way it looks. bedroom style/color/accessories? My room has light gray carpet and the paint on the walls is a very dull boring white-gray. My dad won't let me paint the walls, period. And the carpet is gonna stay the same so I can't change those. I really want to decorate my room and make it have some sort of style cuz right now its just dull and boring and I'm embarassed to have friends over cuz it's so childlike with stuffed animals on this shelf about a foot below the ceiling on two of the walls and on the walls are framed awards that I got in elementary school and I'm gonna be a senior in high school this year. What colors and style of accessories would make it look nice and more mature? I've tried to find inspiration from pictures and HGTV but all those rooms are painted some nice color. Links to room designs, decor,etc. would be ok too I particularly like blue and teal and brown. Anything that is vibrant The comforters I have are white/light green/lightpink, and white/red roses. And I have dark red sheets and orange/pink sheets. I really want a new comforter to set off a new room style but only if I can find a nice one My furniture includes bedside table, tv on dresser, radio on corner table, and my bed with an ugly headboard/footboard, all furniture with different wood, and I have to use all of them. My Bedroom is Pink! Help? Accessories? I'm having a bit of trouble choosing items to put in my room. I chose the room color without knowing how it would look like and now I'm stuck with it. My room is kinda big so the color looks a bit dark. The color is pink and i thought it was a nice pink but it turned out to look like a Pepto Bismol kinda pink and its making me sick. There is also a lot of wood in my room (not white wood) and my flooring is also wood but a little lighter than the furniture. Does anyone have a system to avoid dumping crap on bedroom floor/available surfaces? I always try to keep my bedroom tidy but I'm on tour at the moment and whenever I come home I dump a bag on my bedroom floor, and any letters and books, clothes, accessories and general bits of paper, end up all over my dressing table, and floor (because I'll lay it all out on my bed with the intention of sorting it then shove it all on my floor for sleep). There MUST be a system to avoid getting a build-up of crap and I know the easy solution is to tidy as I go but whenever I'm at home it's only for a few days before I'm off touring again and I'd rather not spend my time hanging clothes and filing! Help! Oh and I've tried an "In Tray" but it's just a box stuffed to the brim with paper and stuff I can't be bothered to sort. Grr.
what to do with my bedroom (16yo, decorating wise)? my parents are renovating the house, the first thing they did was renovate their bedroom (paint and all) and add an ensuite to their bedroom. next was the kitchen, then they added an extension to the family room. all the while little ol me is downstairs in a excrement hole. i have ripped and torn carpet from the 70's. filthy 20yo curtains, my room was made smaller for them to change the staircase (doesnt worry me) so i have exposed drywall, hasnt even been patched and sanded. my other walls are just filthy blonde bricks. ANYWAY ive had enough, its like theve forgotten me, tomorrow ill be moving all my furniture outside and doing the prep work so they have 2 reno my room next. i need design tips, im thinking of going with white walls, black bedspread with black accessories and stainless steel lamps/ accessories as well but it seems a little bland. how can i spice it up a bit? id like to keep it within budget (id be payin for all accessories) but i am able 2 splurge on a few things
i need help with colours and accessories for my home.? we have a single story 3 bedroom house. we like earthy colours, but maybe with a dash of brightness here and there. so far our choices have been mostly incongruous and our curtains are weird as is our sofa, since we can't figure out how to get the "dash" of brightness. anyhow, our walls are off-white, so taking it from there, we need help with curtains, cushions, bedcovers, tableclothes rugs and accessories. should i do the whole house in two colours? would it look weird if i did each room in a different colour? what about prints or flat colours? Cheapest ways to give bedroom a new look? I want to makeover (NOT remodel as in knock down walls, install new flooring, etc) my bedroom-give it a new look so that it will look different from how it is now.
