Bedroom Guide

Can anyone help me figure out a paint color for my master bedroom?!!?

So ok, I am redecorating our master bedroom and I have purchased new furniture and everything, but I can't seem to make up my mind on a paint color for the walls that goes well with the decor! My furniture is a tabacco color (dark cherry with a black overlay) The bedding is silver with a very kindof blueish/teal color as the accents like sheets and a throw pillow, also my curtains our silver with another set that is the same blueish color. So but I can't decide on wall paint, one wall I think behind the bed will be an accent wall with the color the blueish one and I thought that the other walls might be a light tan, but I'm affraid it will look bad!!! Please help!!!!!! Any ideas would be wonderful!!!

  1. maybe a nice blue color for the walls with a lighter blue on the ceiling.bring home some paint samples and put up against the wall and ceiling.might give you some ideas.
  2. i think important points are: how much light does the room get? - if it's quite dark then walls should be light..otherwise it might look like a cave. try to decide if you want cool or warm shades and take it from there. some manufacturers will have recommended combinations if you want more than one colour so have a look at some websites (i can think of dulux or crown). look at furniture catalogues and design websites and take your inspiration from there. i have a big mural in my bedroom - a whole wall actually, it's a photo of a bamboo forest and it looks great. there's a great choice of murals if you'd like an original bedroom :)
  3. I think grays could work well for you. Paint your accent wall "serious gray" by sherwin williams, and then paint the rest of the room "chatroom." Check 'em out: http://sherlink.sherwin.com/swapp/color_visualizer/index.jsp
  4. I would paint the accent wall "bitter chocolate", and the other walls, "tradewind" . both by Sherwin Williams.
  5. Bluish-gray on the wall behind your bed.White or a very light gray on the other 3 walls.
  6. I would stick with blue for all four walls but make your accent wall in a few shades darker. This will give the room a better flow and not look choppy.
