furniture placement?
I have a decent-sized master bedroom with an attached bath and large windows facing a wooded back yard. I can place my headboard on the short wall directly facing the windows, but I would have to walk around my bed from the door to enter the bathroom. Alternatively, I can place my headboard on the long wall. I would lose the view, but there would be better flow with the furniture. From a design standpoint, which option is more desirable?

- When a person enters a room, they always look to the right first, so if that's where the view is, keep it that way, even if you have to walk around the bed, the view should be your focal point.
- Do you actually spend a lot of time in bed looking out the windows? Then put the bed so you can see outside. Do you ever need to get up in the middle of the night and use the bathroom? Then put the bed so that you don't have to walk around it to use the bathroom. I would put the bed on the long wall and put a chair near the window to see outside.
