what color do you think would do best?
I may be allowed to pain one accent wall in my apartment. In the master bedroom all the walls are white. i have white furniture though, its whicker. and i am useing a phramed clover poster, and yellow and grass color of green. I was thinking maybe a color close to navy blue, but would that go with the green grass and bright yellow (think dandilions and clovers) color theme? if not what color would you suggest? oops meant PAINT! stupid typos!

- Navy or royal blue would provide a strong contrast. My suggestion would be that you get some tissue paper or wrapping paper that is close to the shade you want and temporarily tack it up on that wall or most of the wall and see how you like it in a few days to a week. It would not be the right combo for me but each of us is different. For me something more of a sky blue or an American beauty pink (think pink geraniums, or a wall sized mural that one can buy ready made would be more my personal taste but I have seen the grass green/dandilion/navy combo in the work of some artists and decorators. One thing in addition to consider is that if you are required to restore the walls to the original color covering the navy could be a challenge. Some decorators use fabric tacked to a wall mounted on a rod when the aim is to provide color for only a yr or 2 w/o creating a major repainting problem. I really like the grass dandilion and white wicker combo. Peaceful yet very alive. Restful yet with energy.
- You are looking at 4 - 5 coats of paint, I don't know how many to restore... Where is the yellow color - on the bedding? It might be nice to repeat yellow in the room, if it isn't to bright, otherwise, I like your plan, the wicker furniture would pop!
- Good plan!
- I would choose a very pale yellow on your one wall. It will be enough to show contrast, but will still coordinate with your other colors. The dandelions and clover will still show up well. Use brighter yellow and clover green for your accessories. I hope this room will make you happy, just by being in it!
