How much would it cost to paint the interior for my house?
My house is 1700 square feet, 2 story and has vaulted ceilings on the second story. I bought all the paint and supplies. I also plan to move all the furniture myself. I need the interior painted except the cupboards, my master bedroom and all the bathroooms. (I am doing those my self). So I need about 1300 square feet painted. How much can I expect to pay a crew to come out to my house and paint it on a weekend? I was thinking it would cost around $2000???

- You could rent or even buy a spray painter for $300 and do it yourself. All you have to do is tape off the areas you don't want painted.
- You can paint your house for alot less than paying someone to do it. I recommend going to Ace Hardware to get your paint. They have high quality paint at a really good price. You could do 3 maybe 4 gallons per room at $20 bucks per gallon of paint. Supplies are cheap. Definitely don't pay someone. You wont need to prime unless the current color is darker than the one you are putting on. Priming at that point helps your new paint cover better.
- It can depend on where you live? There would have to be a lot more then 1300 square feet to paint, your only counting floor space. This doesn't come near what wall and ceiling space could be in a 1700 sq. ft home. I think if you can get someone for $2000.00, you would be getting a very good deal, almost any place in the U. S. Just for information sake, the bathrooms are by far the hardest rooms to paint. I speak from experience and I like to paint.
- 1 million dollers !! hehe
- have to see it but try between 4000 and 5000 dollars
