Need help creating modern hotel like master bedroom?
I have tan walls, plan on doing all white crisp bedding. - it wount let me view the bed so i dont know what its like. get a 4 poster / big dark wood bed (argos have some great ones!) all the furnature should be the same wood colour and dont put too much stuff in it. perhaps 1 big picture or canvas on the feature wall.
- well im not exactly sure what kind of hotel you want it to look like but i can give you some tips on how not to make it--I remodeled 2 hotels in my area an as the general contractor on both i was shocked to find what the owners wanted their finished product to be-- Do not buy wood panneling-its ugle Do not buy flannel curtain Do not buy a censor toilet-it will wake you up for no reason Do not buy gold carpet-it doesnt stay gold for long
- I wish I could view the bed! I would say to stick with dark tones and clean lines, but not all exactly the same. If you find a piece you love that isn't exactly modern, that's OK. I think of an Asian feel--maybe accent with some greens and sages. I would use only one major art piece, plus a variety of interesting (but simple) mirrors (notice how there are lots of mirrors in a hotel room?) . Make an arrangement to go on the dresser for that custom look. Additional: Gorgeous bed! It will certainly be the centerpiece of the room. It does not lock you into extremely modern styles for other furniture pieces, but I would still stick to esspresso colors. After seeing it, you can certainly do a monochromatic color scheme if you wish. I wanted that luxury hotel room when I redid my bedroom as well. I did more of a Parisian or Venetian luxury look. I think the modern hotel look is very spa-like and relaxing. Have fun!
- marriott.com sells linens from their high end line that are really lux. also some accessories clean,modern lines and absolutely no clutter-you've made some good choices i would recomend the westelm for what you describe wanting the result to be .good luck
