Need Color Help for Master Bedroom?
I've got chocolate brown bedroom furniture (bed frame, side table, & dresser). The Bed is opposite the dresser and we've got cream colored walls. Looking to add a curtain and maybe an accent wall, or paint the room entirely. What colors can you all suggest?

- Maroon/red, gold, dark or dusty purple.
- A creamy color. Or beige.
- olive green may look nice.... or a red....it really depends on what types of colors you prefer....warmer or cooler
- A darkish red/brownish would look nice, or maybe a deep green? Cream would also look nice with maroon accents =D
- Red for passion- just not too dark.
- Cool colors are best for bedrooms. Since your furniture is chocolate brown, i suggest a teal color to the walls.
- Sage green, pale blue, beigh ,tan, rust
- Depends on what colors you like! And how light the room is or how light you like the room to be. If the room is dark and doesn't get a lot of natural light, a soft yellow will mimic sunshine making the room appear lighter, brighter. If the room gets a lot of light and you don't want it that way, try something in the blue or green family. Blue sucks the light out of a room. Why don't you shop for your comforter bedspread or curtains first and take your color cues from those? Or look for a picture you would like to hang in there and pick a color or a shade of a color found in the picture. If you want your bedroom to be calming - light blues, light greens, light aqua colors are wonderful without being bland. If you want something more daring, rust, red (really hard to get a good result - can take 5-7 coats!), Burgundy (same issues as red) or purple. And there is nothing wrong with all neutral colors punched up with some brighter colored accessories either. Try shopping for the curtains/drapes and bedding and you'll find some direction there. And when picking paint, remember that it always looks darker on the wall than on the paint chip! I usually go one shade lighter. And if you get something too dark, it's very easy to lighten with some glazing liquid and a little white paint rubbed over it. And that will give you a visually different wall also.
- If you are looking for something for your walls, check out the website below. We sell decorative vinyl. There are expressions, and all different embellishments for the walls. Come in over 30 colors
- Icy, light aqua, teal or robin's egg blue looks great with cream and brown. First find bedding you love and choose the curtain from it. If you don't like that idea, a rich apricot or burgundy or raspberry shade would look warm and cozy. Hope this helped.
